Greenfield or Brownfield? What's the difference?
Greenfield implementation involves installing SAP entirely from scratch, without the limitations of the previous ERP system. Brownfield, on the other hand, is the conversion of an existing SAP ECC system to S/4HANA; all customizations, historical data, and users are preserved. Why is data migration so critical?
Data migration is the most common failure or delay in SAP implementations. When SAP is deployed with incorrect, incomplete, or corrupted data, reports are generated incorrectly, inventory counts are inconsistent, and accounting balances do not reconcile.
